what grade of grease is 3-in-one aerosol spray grease

Hello,

It's time to grease the gears in the head of my Toro string trimmer .

According to the manual, I'm supposed to use a "good quality, lithium based #2 grease" for this.

I happen to have an aerosol can of 3-In-One brand white lithium grease, but the label on the can doesn't say anything about #2, or any other number.

Can anyone advise if this lubricant would be suitable for this application?

I would not recomend using the spray grease. It is probably a NGLI #00 or thiner grease (a semifluid grease). If you use a good quality grease on your tractors and vehicles it will most likely be a NGLI #2 and should work just fine for this application.

Like DP said.. a generic good 'tube' grease would work.. check what yuo use on your tractor.. it is probably nlgi#2 anyway..
