We just took down a "mighty" hemlock near the house that was starting to cause problems (I expected a root to punch through nearby pool any day). As you can see from the montage, the grapple bucket just barely holds the trunk chunks. In the picture with the PT425 on the driveway, those rear wheels are barely touching. I had to eat a double breakfast to haul the wood to the pile.

That is one very LARGE log. You must have been into the PT pucker factor when you made a turn.

Yes, all that, without the hassle of chains, hooks, etc. Just drive up to it, grab it, and go...

My grapple bucket should be here either tomorrow night or Saturday -- I look forward to "exploring" it's capabilities.
