I had to run 250' of water line. I used a sub-soiler to break up the soil AND ripout all the roots, 3 passes. After that removed the chisel point and attached a 15" potato blade. It worked wonders, took me longer to change the blade and down 3 VERY COLD BEERS /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif than it did too dig the trench.

I wonder how allowing the lower arms to travel side to side would work? Leaving out the pins or unscrewing the turnbuckles... undoing whatever is used to hold them fixed and keep your attachments centered.

Just a thought.

That's a good idea Remove the stabilizer bars and let it follow the trench on each pass.
