The TC33DA started shooting out lots of hydaulic fluid yesterday, and my husband thought it might be the filter seal busted.

But he put on a new filter he had in storage today (we bought two at the same time) and it's still spewing oil all over the place. He has determined that the filter is NOT the source of the problem, but he thinks that maybe a hose might have popped somewhere. But frankly, he's not sure.

Is this a warranty problem? We've had the tractor for only a year and a half, and it has a two year warranty on it?

You folks seem more knowledgeable about tractors than the guys that work in the service department at the New Holland dealer -- are there things that you can tell us that we could pass along to them, to help them diagnose and fix the problem?

BTW, it will be next week before we can contact the dealer about the problem -- he closed up shop for the holidays. In fact, EVERY NH dealer in this area closed shop for the week.

Thanks in advance.

There was something about filters leaking in the Case thread. It pertained to the like tractor of the New Holland. It seems to me that a special filter was designed as a cold weather filter for these tractors. I will try and do a search for you.

There is an answer to your other post that is about the same as this. Looks to me like you should try the cold weather filter.

Here is the ling to the Case thread Case Cold Weather Filter DX33

Hope this helps you.
