L2800. I was having safety switch issues prior, but would just click and not start. This is a loud click and kills all power. I just installed a hard start kit with no luck. Any idea what would kill the whole system requiring me to pull the main fuse to reset (does not melt the fuse)?

Maybe the starter is worn out?
What yr and hrs is the tractor?
Is the battery fresh or is it drawing down on starting?

Guessing is taking the long road to the solution, use an amp meter to find what's pulling high amps. Taking note of what is in operation at and just prior to failure can give hint to culprit.

Yeah, one wonders if the starter is frozen.

I had that happen on my kioti. Turned out to be defective positive battery cable. Ohm out cables, and make sure you cant manually twist the battery cables on battery post. My cable rotted under the plastic sheath.
