What is a lot of hours for a Kubota b7500?

What is the life of one? How long do they last before major issues start happening? What would be the equivalent of 100k on a car?

My mark in the sand for buying used would be 4,000 hours. To get several more good years from the tractor. I would consider 6,000 hours too much for buying used. It depends on how well the tractor has been taken care of. I have a neighbor that farms and has two 100HP John Deere's that have 10,000 hours on them that run like new. He bought them new and takes pristine care of them. He's my hero.

I purchased a new B7500 10 years ago. It had 700 hours (commercial use) on it when i sold it, all the pm was done on schedule. My humble opinion is the machine was just past break in at that point and ready to work at least 5000 hours!

If you figure that a car averages 35 mph over all then to drive 100,000 miles would take 3500 hours. Most gas engines will run 200,000 miles and had more.

A lot does depend on the type of running and the care!

I'v seen a B7500 that is owned by a fairground around here that had 1700+ hours. It sure didn't look new but it ran like new happily cleaning stalls for the livestock.

The kubota dealers (4) i have done business with over the last decade, all have similar opinions pertaining to the B7500. They sold a lot of them and rarely if ever had them come back with serious problems, a proven machine for kubota imho.

In a small diesel engine, 4000-4500 hours would be my max. Bigger diesel tractors with lower rpms and heavier components would be getting near overhaul time at 8000-10000 hours. Your mileage may vary.
