What is a used JD GT235 worth?

Hopefully (fingers crossed), I'll be selling my current house and moving soon. I currently have a John Deere GT235 with a 48" deck in good to very good condition. I think I paid ~$3,400 new for it in '01.

What's it worth right now as a trade in on a bigger sub-cut tractor?

A local JD dealer near me has a GX255 for $3000 so your tractor should be worth somewere in the $1500 to low $2000 range. That would be for a direct sale not a trade. I would guess a dealer would probably offer closer to the $1500 or less on a trade. I would take pictures and put it out on your local Craigslist - but wait until spring time for the most $$$.
