I am about to perform my first 50 maintenance on my M7040HD. I have read several discussions about the Kubota UDT or Super UDT transmission/hydraulic fluids. My owners manual says to use either one. I was planning on using the Super UDT, but no Kubota dealers in my area carry it. They say it is too expensive. They do carry the UDT for $92 for 5 gallons.
A local Kubota dealer is trying to sell me a product called "Power Tech Transmission & Hydraulic Fluid". On the container is states " Super UDT Fluid for use in Kubota Tractors". It is sold by Royal Mfg. whose affiliates are Troco Oil and Wright Oil. It sells for $74 for 5 gallons.
Does anyone have any experience or comments (good or bad) about this product? It is a good alternative to the Kubota fluids?
