Need to see an end on picture, but it looks like the stovepipe crimper that Dad has (if it has multiple "teeth" on the jaw), otherwise, a small set of bolt cutters.
Barb wire cutters to be exact MELTED to my cell phone.
Burned about 10 acres of our field on Sunday and the wind picked up as a cold front moved through. We had the fire under control until it jumped a prior burn area due to the wind. Nobody at risk at anytime but the fire line got a little spread out for us so we called in the big guns.
Didn't realize until later that the fire jumped to a part of the field where I had laid my sweatshirt, cell phone and wire cutters.
We actually had a camera out there because we are new at this and want to build a web site around our adventures. We have plenty of other really good photos. Not too much of when it got busy though.
Very impressed with the local firefighters. Great sense of what to do and when. Had to help pull the smaller pumper truck out of a creek bed though. We had called prior to starting and got everything approved with them first so they knew what was going on.
