I don't know what it is, but no way that front end would survive a loader. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks kinda cool though. Any attachments with it?

Jerry,
Thanks! Do you have a clue as to the year?

When I was growing up, we had a 1929 Allis Chalmers that we had converted to a 6volt with a crank back up... one day my dad went to start it (it was parked in the pole barn with the front end point at the back wall (back end pointed out). Apparently, the battery was dead so he decided to crank start it...

Well, I was about 150 ft away walking toward the pole barn and all of a sudden, I heard this really loud crash and realized after a brief (note, I said brief) hesitation that my dad had started the tractor in gear (on the first crank). The tractor pushed my dad through the wall of the shed and nearly pinned him to a tree (he fell to the side outside the back of the shed. The tree (a birch) stopped the tractor and may of darn well saved my dad's life. Apparently, the crank had pushed into my dad's abdomen (amazingly, without breaking the skin) and pushed him through the wall of the shed (btw, this was a relatively new pole barn).

We ended up rushing my dad to the hospital and to this day, I am astonished when the doctor indicated that there was no abdominal bleeding/damage. He had a heck of set of bruises all over his abdomen and internal lesions for months/maybe years but he lived. At the time, he was in very good shape... It's the most frightened I've ever been about the possibility of my dad dying on the farm.

Oh yeah, this tractor looks to be about the same age (give or take a few years) as that old Allis Chalmers. And for the record, that was one heck of a tractor (even though it nearly killed my dad...or technically, he nearly killed himself /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif).

Yes, it looks like an AC B. I have one just about like it out back. Mine's a '48. Runs great, mows OK.... but (wink, wink) I needed a new tractor.

The SN is located right next to the shifter. That'll point you to the exact year.

s1120 Its an AC B very noticable by the Wishbone front end. And a few of them did have loaders. Mostly ower up gravity down. The loaders were made out of light pipe, and usually used for saw dust and chicken litter removal. THey make good belly mower tractors and a few are still used to garden with here.

Yup, an AC for sure. Great tractors - one of my regrets is that I didn't get my granddad's AC. But he donated it to his church so that is a very good purpose for it. That looks like a really good find.

AC B. If I'm not mistaken, you should still be able to get parts. They get used around here mostly for mowing and showing off. If I recall, there were implements available for them and I think they were all mid mount.

Considering that I've seen a real light loader on a farmall cub.. I wouldn't doubt with some tubing/angleiron and engineering that a light weight loader couldn't be cobbled up... maybee 2oo# total lift.. including the bucket..

I thought of building a one armed loader for my Farmall Cub they had a light one armed pipe loader for saw dust and poultry litter. I then they had one called a 1000 that was square or rectangle tubed that was power up down with a hydraulic bucket for landscaping. Super A's had the same set up, even the A had one that was exhaust lift thats a rare find. Wagner also made a 2 armed pipe loader for the Cub as well. On the AC they had a hook under the rear end called a snp hitch that the implement hooked into and the liftes raised. It also had a few mid mount items. When dirt moving was slow dad alway rebuilt 4 or 5 AC A, B,C and CA's
They all had the same engines. He and an uncle would build 3 point hitches and chuck the snap hitches, now collectors items dang it.
