Not sure what species you would have in AZ. Here in the East the most common ones are Lamium purpureum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and Lamium amplexicaule - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Common names are dead nettle or hen bit. Flowers are not carnivorous, its not poisonous. Just a common weed.
