What is the best way to transition from alfalfa to pasture grass?

Hi all, we have 4 acres planted in alfalfa and want to take out about 2 acres of it and turn it in to grazing pasture. what is the best way to get rid of the alfalfa for the quickest transition? We are new to farming and just bought a home with acreage already in alfalfa and want to be able to graze some animals.

Spray with roundup. Plant during appropriate season for your area. Get to know the local AG. Extension agent. Good luck

On our farm here in Ky, we would interseed grass into the alfalfa and pasture it. The alfalfa wont last long under livestock. Ken Sweet
