My understanding is that the 186 was a little cramped in the operaters department....and so they came out with the 187. Other than length the tractors are the same.....I think?

I'd agree that the 186 is a bit cramped for larger than average people. I'm 6 ft tall and have a 32 inch inseam and I have to be careful about hitting my knees on the dash. Ouch!

Didn't find any match on my cross reference to John Deere. Sorry.

The YM2500 is very popular and it's the John Deere 850. The YM2610 isn't a direct match, but it shares like 90% of the JD 850. All three use the 3T80 engine.

Thus parts are better to find here in the states.
