2006 John Deere 3320
Hey All,
First I'd like to say that this sight and the people responding have been AWESOME!!!!

2006 John Deere 3320 tractor 30 to 40 hours on it
was serviced buy Deere Dealer then put into storage - 4 years later I'm buying it right out of storage.

Question - What are the chances their will be a problem with the injection pump having set that long without start-ups??

Just like to get your thoughts - or if you have dealt with something similar.
What do injection pumps cost if worst case scenario?

Thanks,

Max

Doubtful that will be an issue.
Check the fluids and start the thing up and see what it does.
I think it will be fine.

I wouldn't worry about that. I have never see that as an issue. My concern would be water in the oils or fuel. But that may not be an issue.
Good luck and let us know how she runs!!!

Vince - Thanks for you reply
I'm hoping that becomes the general consensus with responses.

Oldcowboy - Thanks for your reply.

If others out there have a strong opinion I'd like to hear it.

I recently acquired my grandfathers 1964 MF 150 after his passing. The tractor was rarely ever serviced during the 30 years he had it. It sat in the barn for a couple years without running and someone had accidentally put gas in with the diesel in the tank. I towed it home, added 5 gallons of diesel to what was already in the tank. Threw the jumper cables to it and it fired up no problem. It sat and ran with more fuel pouring out the busted glass bowl on the filter than was going into the engine. I'd agree to fire the tractor up and see what happens then change all the fluids and filters and go to work.
