Here is a Trailer/Cart that I nearly junked. But on closer examination I decided that the steel was still very solid. When I got the bed off I found pivot points. One under the Bed and one at the Hitch. I think that at the hitch there is a kick stand. Never heard of Buffalo Trucking company but we are very near Buffalo, NY. The tires are G78-15's which would date the trailer to the 60's or 70's. Found out the updated tire size will be 215 75R15. I also have the tailgate. One the left hand rear side looks to be a double step up. The original color looks to be green but was painted over with orange. I am thinking of JD green and yellow wheels. Also it is very heavy notice the wheels are separately mounted not with a trans axle. I haven't taken measurements yet but basically the bed is 4' X 8'.

My questions are: Was this a dump cart/manure spreader? What was the intent for use of a trailer of this type? How do you use it with two pivot points?

Its hard to tell where and what the pivots are with it all tore appart. Do you have any pre-disassembly pictures??

Or could you highlight or circle the pivots in the pictures you posted??

Looks kind of like a 2-axle farm wagon converted to a single axle trailer, with a 1930's aftermarket truck bed.

The rear pivot makes it a dump trailer. The front pivot makes it a tilt trailer.

At first I thought it was a homemade trailer. The more I work with it I think it was factory made. Two pipes at top-front of bed are threaded so they might go as I see no need for them. I will take measurements later today. Pivot points are located at cut in pipe seen in third picture and at front hitch. I like the idea of a tilt trailer. can't wait to get all working to try it out. Thanks for the input. You never know when someone might recognize something from the past.
