What is this plant?

Every year, these are the first plants to emerge in my pastures. Im in North East Texas. Anyone know what these plants are?

Are the stems mostly hollow and shoot up quickly? The stems look like they have segments similar to knotweed.

I think there may be several types of knotweed, but I am familiar only with Japanese knotweed. The stems look like the Japanese type, but the leaves differ. If you don't receive a definitive answer here, take a specimen to your local county Cooperative Extension office. The folks there will ID the plant.

We you able to identify the weed? It doesn't look like the variety of knotweed we have here in Ct. I hope it is not Knotweed. I have a lot exsperience dealing with it and have been successful for the most part. Let me know
