What is this thing?

I think it's an attachment of some sort, or maybe part of one would be more accurate.. I found it in the dirt at the back of my property. brush guard maybe?

Also found a tiller/cultivator thing back there as well that needs some love, I'll get some pictures and see if it's worth spending time on or not.. it isn't locked up, but it's got a lot of 'slop' somewhere along the line either in the gearbox or the bearings that the shaft rides on.

It could be a grille guard/ front bumper. I don't see how it could be a attachment because there is no toplink hook up.

Looks like it may mount or brace something to the front - maybe a snow plow or FEL?

It looks to me to be a john deere fel mounting bracket top loop goes around front grille ,Keep looking you might find the rest of it out there !:thumbsup:

I believe that it is part of the grill guard for an old John Deere. My Grandpa used to have one that had the same type of guard on it.
