Could be anything, including just an empty steel container

Clue might be from any company name or stuff on the tractor door pulling it.

Since the paint on the box matches the paint on the trailer, the load is likely inside the box out of view.

Maybe a huge power transformer? Since those are moved so often, they just built a box for it, instead of constantly dealing with tarps. Just a guess tho.

I'm going to take a really WAG and say that although the configuration is off...it is not that dissimilar from equipment that is used for setting (possibly elevated) pipelines or ductile lines etc...?...

It looks like the side of a trench box to me, but they aren稚 heavy enough for a trailer that big.
