My guess would be wood carving tools.

Some of those look very similar to a case of old leather-working tools that I found when I opened up an interior wall in our log cabin in Montana.
When I asked the lady that we bought it from about them, she said they were her husband's leatherworking tools, (50 plus year old tools) he had passed away several years prior and she had no idea how they got there. she thinks that one of his friends that was helping her Remodel and fix the place up before they sold it must have put them in there.

When I go back up in a couple weeks I will have to look at them and take some photographs

It looks like and old rug making tool to me but I was only a kid when I tried doing it with my grandmother. (in the '50s)

Perhaps some very specialized seam ripping; my wife is a seamstress and the run of the mill seam ripper I see every day isn't quite as elaborate as those.

I'm not a seamstress but tend to agree, especially when I saw the double bladed unit. (for double stitched seams like on jeans.)
Also some with right or left curves.
Do I assume they are quite sharp?

The one your wife uses (LOL, I have one) is kind of one size fits all tool.

Got a hunch there's more seam rippers of different kind & nature than there is bottle openers. Got 1 sister who can do such with a straight razor or razor blade scare me. Other sister I think drove a husband off makin such to her design & desire most of which resembled crochet hooks and pushers if such be. Poor husband was some kind of fancy tool maker at least till he up & run off.

Of course they could be Layovers, to catch meddlers or even a plug out of a Shikepoke.
