Greetings All.

We have an Eqmt Shedd with this in it. I have no idea what it is, but it sure looks interesting.

Can anyone identify it for me?

Thanks

OK, I'll give it a try.....
My guess is an old thresher or combine. My dad's uncle had one of those (not exactly like that though) that was pulled behind a tractor. Rather than dumping seed or grain into a bin, it was blown directly into sacks so it took two people to operate; one to drive the tractor, and another to ride the combine and change sacks on the blower.

Did I win a prize ?? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Picture 1 looks like a fanning mill but pic 2 tends to lean towards a threshing machine. They both sort of do the same thing in that they sort and seperate grain from any undesirables such as straw, weed seeds etc. except that the thresher is used when the grain crop is harvested and the fanning mill is used to clean the grain before it is planted.

It was built in the early 60's and it's called a p-scoup. It has a built in engine -- usually 21HP, and is belt driven. They are very hard to find.. The P-Scoup a specially designed pooper-scouper that launches the canine poop into your neighbors yard, then follows it up with water, a bit of loam and some grass seed to hide the offending poop (though not the smell) from the offending neighbor. Buy it and restore it. Not many of those left.

Oh go on - it's an early punkin chunkin machine! That opening on the top is where the pumpkin comes out, after it builds up enough presure inside. No, really!

Its what we call a header(combine) at the front of the first pic is the seives that would fit under the walkers or a stationary seed cleaner

Thanks Daedong. It is really an interesting conglomeration of materials wood/metal.

Any ideas where I might find out more information about these?

Thanks again.

Does it have wheels? (The one leaning on it does not appear to be a part of it.)

Where does 'stuff' feed inot it? How?

It would look to be parts from a thrasher if it has wheels, or possibly a feed mill if it is more stationary. Or a seed cleaner.

Solved!

It's a seed cleaner manufactured by Crippen Manufacturing.

Here's a scan of the front of the operating instructions.

My father in law apparently from a letter I found in the operators manual acquired it in 1962 or there abouts.

Thanks
