I did not read anything in the manual that covered that. I do rember a thread a while ago that dealt with a preassure relief problem. I guess it will have to go on the question list when I talk to the dealer.

On a related note if you are mowing a lot don't forget to thoroughly clean the radiator frequently to ensure your cooling system is getting sufficient airflow

Did that. Twice as a matter of fact. Milkweed seeds have a way of finding their way into the darndest places. I don't think that that was the cause.

Agreed; I have a 4110 and after several hours of use the lines on the FEL are very hot to the touch also, even if I am not using the FEL. I believe that is normal with the constaint fluid pumping.

After reading this Thread I checked my 6500 4WD FEL control after 1 hour very hard work hauling and spreading crushed rock and it was pretty warm but no where near hot.

Ok talked to my dealer on Friday. Brenda from customer support if you are reading, Cudos to your service rep for the New Englad area. The man is a text book on the tractors.
We talked to the service rep on friday. What he toldus was that the operating temp for the hydraulic fluid for the 4530 is 180 degrees. The surrounding metal should be around 170 degrees.
So I guess hot to the touch would be the norm. Basically what he told us to do if I thought it was running hot was to check the temp with an infared thermometer. If the temp was above 170 to let the dealer know and we could go from there..
As far as the tire starting to split. The dealer agrees that this should be a warranty item. Mahindra told us to give Titan a call. Still waiting to hear from Titan.

So now we all know What is too HOT.
