What little old tractors can do

The last two days, we have been using our '52 Allis Chalmers B to pull a 12' long, 900lb, I-beam drag to level out 21 full dump truck loads of top soil. That little 14hp tractor does quite alot for us. We always have something for it to do. I thought it will be cool to see and hear about what other people us old tractors for other than shows. Pictures would be great as well!

P.S- The reason we don't have pictures is because there was two guys, each on a tractor, at 4:30, the sun sets at 6:00, we couldn't stop for the slightest time, that's alot of dirt.

My oldies include a 1964 MF-135 diesel that I bought in July06 for $3600. Engine runs fine. Stripped it down, rewired it, new gauges, steering wheel, repainted. Still need to fix leaky PTO shaft seal, adjust the pto clutch and do a little servicing on the MultiPower tranny

Just bought a 1951 Farmall Super A with rear blade and mid-mount highway-type sicklebar mower ($1300). Engine is OK.

It's a true Farmall Super A agricultural tractor, not an industrial IH Super A. The industrial version has a foot throttle which my SA does not. The orange paint is courtesy of Caltrans who used this SA for highway mowing.

I have 7 of my 10 acres available for haying and am anxious to try out the sicklebar on pasture grass now that the rains have come and the pasture is beginning to green up again.

My little old WD does everything.
Plow, disc, plant, mow, crimp, rake, bale, haul wagons, chop corn......I'm sure there may be other things...

We've been working again the last couple days and, oh yeah, did I mention we now have 36 loads on that lot now! But anyway that's my dad on the Allis, he was pulling the drag I was mentioning. Here it is

I have two old Farmalls, a 42 A and a 49 Super A. Here is a pic of my 49 haulin some wood ! What a great tractor !

Maybe not so old or small but here's some of the things I've been doing with my 404. Pretty much the same things people do with their shiny new tractors. Mine's just older and less shiny...
