- B3030 w/ FEL and 72" midmt
OK I need your input fellas. I have a Kubota 30 hp (B3030) with a MMM that does great. But at times I need to mow some pasture fields. So I bought a 5' rotary from TSC. It does OK, but feels a bit "big" for my little tractor. Not so much the PTO power that is the problem, but more it is sort of long and so when I go in terrain dips it gets pinched, and also it is fairly heavy causing my front end to be a bit light without the FEL on the tractor for weight.
So I am considering selling the rotary, and getting maybe a woods type finish mower (3PH) that I could mow in the raised position for tall grass, or perhaps a 4' rotary.
Thoughts? What is the best setup for my tractor and my needs on this. The MMM works great for cutting any grass up to about 12" tall but for the tall stuff I need something where I can cut it at a leaving grass at about 6-8" tall.
Can I mow in the raised position with a rear mount mower? Thoughts?
