I have a Craftsman with a Briggs 205cc Snow Engine, What oil should I use?

Thanks

Every BS engine I have owned called for strait 30W or 10W30. I would use 10W30 in a snow blower because of the temps.

A friend just bought a new Craftsman snow blower with the 357 cc snow engine. His manual recommended oil from 0W-20W to 10W-30W depending on the temperature region you lived in. He lives in Vermont and we both decided that 10W-30W might be the best because that is what he used in all his other engines, although 5W-20W might make cold starting a little easier.

+1, but electric start? 10w-30 would be OK with electric start, no doubt. Either way, check the oil more often than most seem to. Thin oil, hard work.
