Hey guy and gals I putting a plow of some kind on the front of my 7060 Cab but can't decide what kind to put on it. I have heard that putting the plow on the loader arms can cause issues with bending them. On the other hand I have found a couple manufacturers that make a frame mount but those are really really expensive and we don't have a guaranteed snowy winter. So I am looking for your opinions on the best setup for the tractor. It will be used in a subdivision to do driveways and roads.

If you don't have a guaranteed snowy winter, I'd suggest a back blade. Leave the bucket on the front for knocking back banks if needed, and plow with the blade driving forward. That's how I do all of my snow removal, and we're pretty much guaranteed a snowy winter. Plus, back blades are very useful for other tasks, which a snow plow isn't.

If you do go with a SSQA plow, make sure it has trip protection, so that it can fold forward if it encounters an unmoving obstacle instead of shocking your loader arms.

I had a six ft.sub-frame mounted to my L3130 when I owned it;traded for a L4240 HSTC and added a eight foot Curtis to the FEL arms via a SSQA and of course third function on both.I much prefer the FEL mounted and have had ZERO problems with the FEL mounted snow plow.I do about three miles of drives and roads and we get about 80in./yr.
I run this in tandem with a seven ft.rear blade.Happy with my set-up.

I built a QA FEL plow out of an old truck plow (7'6") and it works great. Plow has a trip edge and a pressure relief in case the blade hits something while angled. My tractor also came with a 7'6" snow pusher box in a package deal. I usually get over 110" of snow each season and the QA plow works the best for me. The pusher box is mainly used for straight line runs such as a parking lot. I don't use it and currently have it for sale. As suggested, if you don't get a lot of snow use the loader bucket and a back blade, both of which can be used year round.

For years I plowed with a 7' rear blade (or snowblower) and used the loader bucket to push back piles and relocate snow. This coming season I will be using a SSQA 7' blade or bucket depending on snow amount, and the same rear implements. I REALLY like the rear blade, especially for pushing snow onto the grass of the driveway edge with the blade reversed.
As far as loader arm damage I guess it's possible, but unlikely with a trip plow and a reasonable operator. I've cleared plenty of driveways with a loader bucket in deep snow and never damaged anything.

Happy with my home made SSQA mount for the cheap truck (small Jeep) plow I got on my smaller Kubota L3200. I get a bit of front end push, but not to bad & mine sticks out a ways. Chains on the font took care of my steering issues.

At one point I had the plow on the front & a back blade on the rear. I sold the back blade as it didn't have any advantages over my SSQA plow & several disadvantages. I now have a blower on the 3pt. I still plow most everything, but flip a 180 & blow if it's to much to plow.

No loader arm issues here.

I use a 7' 6" truck plow that I welded a quick attach plate to. I was concerned about possible damage to the loader arms, but found the frond end traction gives out when the going gets too heavy, so the loader arms don't bare all the weight. Plus having a plow on the loader allows you to move piles back by raising the plow up high to move the pile from the top down.

I've always moved snow off my driveway & yard with my rear blade. Works great and no chance of damage to the FEL arms. I use a Land Pride RB3596( 96" wide) and when offset & angled it does an excellent job. The Kubota M6040 and rear blade will also clear the berms that eventually form along my mile long driveway.
