Greetings everyone, I'm buying a used 72 inch rear mount blower for my kubota 3130. Blower does not come with PTO shaft. Private seller. Besides minimum and maximum lengths, what do I need to know? Any help would be appreciated. smoky

When replacing a PTO first look at what the OEM supplied. If you do not have the OEM PTO here is what you do.
Identify the type of connections on each end. IE 1 3/8" 6 spline
What size tractor will you be operating this implement?
What range of PTO HP does the manufacturer recommend?
Do you need a safety? clutch, shear-pin, etc.
Mount the implement on the tractor. Measure the distance from the PTO shaft on the rear of the tractor to the beginning of the shaft on the implement. This will give you an idea of the minimum distance.
Once you have all the information above any good PTO retailer can recommend the proper shaft for your application. Often internet companies have PTO's broken down by application
