What repacement engine for the Robin?

The reason I like that Kohler is that it's Fuel Injected. Like I said, we're Diesel people, and thats the closest Gas engine to a Diesel. That's actually one of the things lacking to us in a PT-425, Carbureted engine. And only 800lb lift. If the 425 had a Fuel injected engine and a bigger lift capacity, we'd go with it.

I'm sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. On one hand you talk about needing a PT-1850, Power Trac's largest commercial machine, in part because it has dual wheels. In the next breath you say you would buy a PT-425, their smallest commercial machine, which doesn't have dual wheels, if only it had more lift capacity and fuel injection.

What difference does fuel injection make, if every thing else is equal? Fuel injected gasoline engines bear no special resemblance to diesels. Their injection systems are completely different. They still require ignition systems, and they still have throttle plates or the equivalent.

As to the greater lift capacity, it would require a bigger engine, which would make it something other than a PT-425. If it had the same lift capacity as the 1850, it would be a PT-1430. Is that what you now want?

A PT-1850 weighs 3,840 lbs. A PT-425 weighs under 1,400 lbs. You can't possibly be seriously considering both of them for the same job.

Whoops a misquote there, SnowRidge. I'm getting mixed up, I got too much on my mind, way too much. A 425 is way too small for us. I was trying to say I'd like to have a Fuel Injected 425 for my own property as a diesel is too big. My yard is a bit small for a 425. but my yard needs to be completely re-done and it requires (or my mom requires) it to be mowed often ( nd I hate push mowing! I HATE IT! I'm a riding mower man.) Plus we get hammered here in Michigan every winter and the snow comes down like rain. So heres an explanation, Snow.)

You got a lot of irons in the fire, kid! (that's a compliment). ;)

Thanks Moss, but I do not have the slightest idea what that means
Another thing about a PT for my yard. It is just a thought, but it would be great :)

Too many irons in the fire is an old saying that means you have a lot going on. This gives a little history of the saying.

Thanks for making me feel old! :D YIKES!!!

The Rifleman was my hero.
Real Coke made with cane sugar in 16oz glass bottles with the bottling plant names stamped in the bottom was my favorite drink.
And we had three T.V. stations in black and white after the tubes warmed up.

Now I don't go back as far as some of the others here and I'm not sure how far back they really go. Only the shadow knows. ;)
