What should I have got for paperwork w/tractor?

I didn't get any paper work with my second hand tractor (said he never got any)
What should I have got with a 2006 2615 HST?
How do I go about getting it now since the guy has moved so can't contact him & I don't rember where he got the tractor from?

I assume there should be at least some sort of a service manual.

Bill, I'd invest in the Service and Parts Manuals. On the Cub Cadet site (the -15 series used to be sold by Cub only in a pretty yellow ), you can download at least the Operators Manual I'm not sure if the same is true from the Mahindra site or not. That gives the owner all the hours, torques, and maintenance to maintain your tractor. Short of having no manual you could get underneath to check the current number on the filters. I'm not sure where you are located, (I'm down in the Sebago Lake area), but Hammond Equipment in Auburn are pretty good to deal, they sell Mahindra, and there is also another dealer up north. In a bind you could go to the Cub Cadet site and look up the manual for a 26HP model. I think all the filters for the -15 series and the Mitsubishi made Cubs are Mitsubishi OEM numbers. There are also several good dealers on this forum that you can order from.

You need to contact a local Mahindra dealer to get you a copy of the owners manual or the CD version. Or, you might check Ebay for owner and factory service manuals. I brought my service manual last year on Ebay for 5 dollars plus shipping.
Just checked and the guy has the owner manual listed on Ebay.

A bill of sale is about it.

As long as you got a bill of sale (receipt) from the previous owner, thats about all you get. There are no titles. Service and parts manuals are expensive if dealer ordered. Keep an eye out on Ebay or Craiglist for them.

Try logging on to the mahindra 24/7 owners care. All it takes is the tractor serial number. Most everything that is in the owner's manual is there and is a free download. If you can't log on at first, call the 800 number on the site and they can get you logged on.
