I am considering trading my 2003 2210 in on a new 2520.
I'm trading the 2210 in with only the quick attach FEL and grill guard.

I'm buying a 2520 with a 200CX FEL, R4 tires.

The 2210 is in incredible condition, no damage to body and its glossy as brand new. Garage kept its whole life.

I'm getting some quotes, but I'm wondering what to expect from the 2210, and what I should pay for the 2520?
Thanks in advance!

Deadman -

The 2520 lists for $15,279 and the 200CX loader lists for $2,713. It comes with a grill guard but I didn't figure for a ballast box (which you'll want if you do not already have a ballast solution).

Total list for the 2520 with loader is $17,992. This may or may not include freight, setup, etc. depending on your dealer.

You don't mention the hours on your 2210 so let's assume 200 hours for a 4 year old machine. I presume it has the 210 loader when you mention the quick attach FEL.

Quick look on "machinefinder" shows a 2003 2210 with 210 loader and 173 hours in really nice shape (per dealer) in Wisconsin for $9,750.

15% off list of the 2520 calculates to $15,293. Let's assume the dealer would go $9,000 on trade of your 2210 you're left with a difference of $6,293 plus tax (if applicable to you).

I would guess that is in the ballpark unless your particular dealer has a buyer for your 2210 lined up. You could sell it outright but, assuming you're subject to tax, you'd need more than $9,000 to offset the tax savings you'd get if trading in. In MN we have 6.5% tax so (here) you'd need an additional $585 from a private party sale to break even. You'd obviously want to do more than break even if subjecting yourself to a private party sale and the liabilities that come with such a transaction.

Good luck!

Have you talked to Shawk? A while back he was thinking of trading down from a 2520 to a 2305/2210.

..........Of course that was before he started having so much fun w/ his 2520.

Bought a 2007 (Ordered) 2520 and paid $7,000 and the 2210 with 253 Hrs on it.
The 2210 actually had some damage (shhhhh don't tell them :D ) It had a broken cooling fan, and the hydro filter was smashed in, and a piece of the case on the rear end was smashed out and missing! It was a pretty big piece or metal missing, like the size of your whole pinky finger! It didn't leak though, so its not a huge deal.

Got the 2520 with R4's, 200cx with 61 inch bucket, grill guard, and bucket level indicator and it should arrive in about 1 month.

Will all of my attachments for the 2210 fit the 2520? Lx4, ballast box, etc....

I don't see why it wouldn't fit on perfectely. :)

Looks like I was pretty close.

Yes - the attachements will fit fine on the 2520. I think that DR brush chipper is overkill though and you should send it a bit West (to MN) so it can be put to good use. ;)
