Well I finally got my accessory lighting installed and had some time to work after dark last night. I needed to use the 48" KK XB box blade to drag some dirt to fill some low spots. I was surprised to see that I could drag that box blade with it full and material spilling out over the sides and top without even working the tractor. I think I will sell this one and get a bigger one but want to find out what you guys are using behind your 4110's. My soil is mostly clay and hard packed.

TIA...

I think that gives us all what the difference between the 2210 and the 4110 is. Now you need to supersize your attachments! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was able to do some light grading setup like this "Wide Load" . But it would give up when the box started to fill up. I was suprised at the amount of work it did, but would not suggest going this wide. I didn't even attempt to lower the scarifiers. I was just goofing around as it took me until the day after I got the BB to get the BH off of Big Brother

LOL JDfanatic, It is as should be, a pretty big difference. Smoother ride on my rutted property no doubt due to larger tires and better seat. I love the position control for all the ground engaging I have to do. The whole tractor feels stabeler when using the loader. The loader responds faster and of course lifts more. None the less the 2210 is a very capable tractor . The 4110 will just do it quicker.

As far as supersizing....well..just a little upsizing perhaps. I know I want to go with at least a full size BB if I do decide to switch. Just not sure if I want to go with a 5 footer or not. I really need to take a look at how much more use I will have for a BB before I do anything.

shinefreak, you are very lucky to have such a great view to enjoy everyday....very nice.

I knew 6 foot was out of the question....should act like a boat anchor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Also nice collection of tractors.

Deere Guy,
Thanks, I do enjoy the view. What a coincidence, another programmer who owns a 4110! With your machine shop you might be interested in my 80 year old neighbor's hobby. See attached picture.
He builds them mostly from scratch ( he borrows pistons from old lawn mowers) in his garage. He is currently working on a twin cyclinder

I long for the day I will have time to get back into my machine shop. I just started in the hobby about 3 years ago and haven't really done stuff that wasn't for repair of something for the last 20 months or so. No insulation in the shop yet and I doubt I will get around to it this heating season. Plus I still have tileing to finish in the master bath and some other odds and ends that need finishing in the cabin.

I love looking at those shop built hobby engines. Looks like you neighbor would be an interesting guy to live by. Sure wish he was my neighbor. I could use a mentor... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It has been a lot of work but the location we have is worth it all. I drink coffee on the porch and watch deer and turkey almost every morning before I come to work. Starts my day with an inner peace I sure didn't get when living in the sub. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I use a Frontier 60". I did about a dozen driveways with it this year and no problems. The only time it bogs down is if I drop the scarifiers too low (the box fills too quickly) or try moving alot of material up hill - then it slows down for sure. If I'm just dragging it with minimal tooth contact it will still eventually fill with dirt which will spill over the back and edges, although this tends not to bog the engine down unless I try turning or hit an uphill section.

Thanks for the info 2nstonge. I figured the 5' full size will probably be a good fit. Now I don't have to guess.
