What size Brush Hog?

You just don't want to be any where stuff flies too. There's a gauge in my tractor's hood that came from something the mower kicked up.

Agreed, Hoggin' in the big stuff isn't a spectator sport.

I was thinking other then a counterweight, the loader could act as a brush guard.
One of the first projects is a path through the woods & swamp around the pond.

I do believe a 4' would be better but, I already have the 5'er.
You have your answer right there!
Be careful and take it slow...in a woodlot, sometimes you can't take only 3 or 4' at a time your probably going to have to run with a full mower...so with your limited HP, better take it real slow and test your machine.
I would leave the FEL on also for counter balance.
That 5' mower is a lot of weight behind a small machine.
