What the heck kind of giant moth is this?

Just make sure it has enough room to open its wings fully to let them dry. I recall one of my kids' grade school classes hatching butterfly cocoons in containers that were too small. The butterflies hatched when no one was around and all of their wings dried all crinkly from the tiny containers. It was sad, as none of them could fly. We let em go in our garden, but my guess is they were bird food pretty quick.

I have it wedged in my deck by my tomato plants so it has lots of room to hatch and plenty to eat.:laughing:

I think I would put it in a bird cage and keep my .45 handy...
