I stand corrected on concern about rim size vs tire style

If that’s the only reason have you priced new tires and zero turn mower’s? You could easily be in the 3k range for two rear tires for that tractor.
Thanks for the helpI believe another consideration is the rim size. Not 100% positive but I believe R4 & turf require a different rim vs R1 ag. Some R1 ag have less aggressive lug patterns than others. Not sure if available in your size or cost but radial R1 have larger foot print and may be less aggressive also. Never ran radials on this small of tractor so not sure.
I’ll look into thoseTurfs with single cross link chains. Good traction and not hard on turf unless the wheels spin. (wet uphills)
The tractors like mine that have turfs have much wider rims I do believeI stand corrected on concern about rim size vs tire style

I've got that set up on the two smaller tractors (25 and 18 HP) Work great summer and winter. Weight goes on the back in winter ;-)I’ll look into those
Yeah most of the turf tires are wider than what the rim can doI suspect that unless the OP is replacing wheels, the choice will be made by what tires will fit on the existing wheels.
That’s probably a good ideaNothing wrong with having an alternet set of mounted tires handy.
