I bought one off Craig's List probably a year ago. It is blue, I think model is 750 and it has two bit holders (large 1/2" + and small up to 1/2").
The first drill I sharpened came out sweet ...the next 5 in a roll were rounded over goofy angles. Got another good one. Then 2 more bad. Something poor batting average like this anyway. the bad ones have like reverse relief almost. Basically the harder I concentrated on getting the bit lined up "correctly" in what is supposedly the aligment guide and the more carefully I kept bit holder in contact with the cam the worse the bits looked.
Probably twice more I have pulled it off the shelf and fiddled around ...and can not reliably know what the bit will look like...everytime basically a surprise with plenty of the same hit or miss sucess. This "tool" is no use to me. One like it on Ebay right now, used , with opening bid $70 . IMO after playing with this it is not worth anything like that (but I used Ebay as a buying guide and admit to paying some outrageous price like that but can't really recall precisely what I paid other than I was silly enough to pay more than $50 and be proud of my purchase all the drive home).
My review....anyone who wants to invest about the same amount time (or maybe less time) can learn to free hand bits and live a full lifetime without it. Still want one? Buy mine....$20 plus whatever actual shipping cost is from 48380...sold as is no returns I never want to be reminded how I was suckered into buying this by advertising but guaranteed not DOA , wheel is not new but definitley will grind ...you can consume a bit if you like...comes complete with both bit holders and if you buy this for even $20 I think in my heart you will have overpaid (just not by as much as I did). Truthfully for me this is basically worthless gadget. Can't believe RONCO didn't make these things but it is "genuine Drill Doctor" brand. I am new to this site and probably shouldn't sell something even at this low price if I don't belive in it...but maybe its just me...I have read these Drill Doctor debates before seems to be those that can those that can't get the hang of using them.
