When I was first looking to replace the JD I had, I considered a JD with the features of a BX, and discovered I couldn't touch one for less than $2,000 more than the Kubota. Couldn't see the justification. Green paint is very expensive, I guess.
As to the GR series, it looks like a slightly smaller version of the BX without a 3 pt. hitch in the rear (or a rear PTO). I don't know if you'll have a use for the rear PTO, but I plan to buy a rear snowblower for next winter (about 1/3 the cost of a front snowblower). Also, I am guessing the resale value of a tractor with a three point hitch is going to be significantly higher than one without. Frankly, I can't see spending $8,000 on a tractor without a 3 pt. hitch. Like I said in anothe post, my guess is that you can find a BX 1500 w/54" mmm for not much more money, and quite a bit more tractor.
