I would say box blade or rock rake/ landscape rake. I have Both for my tractors and they both have their different uses.

Landscape or Rock Rake:
- moving large rocks in fields
- moving large rocks to save your mowers
- raking up SOME roots of trees (they have to be pretty big)

Box Blade:
- Grading Driveways and roads
- Grading parts of your landscape
- Moving Snow
- Moving Roots
- Moving small to medium sized rocks
- Moving gravel to add to surfaces
- smoothing creek beds
- ripping up lawn
- ripping out small roots
- maintaining bonfires
- (weld d-rings on the back) use as log skidder
- MANY OTHER USES

Overall, I would buy a box blade. King Kutter and Landpride both make excellent box blades. I would opt for the higher dollar models that have easily removable teeth on the front/inside and have a cutter blade on the back. The back blade works great for maintaining brush fires and pushing snow and also pushing back gravel, mulch and/or rock piles.

Box Blades have far many more functions and you don't have to mess with angling the rake in certain spots and fixing it. Angling back and forth becomes such a pain in the ***. On and off, on and off, on and off of the tractor. Box Blades also can do the job of a log skidder which is very helpful because you don't need to try to drive backwards and mess with the loader.

I have medium duty ,box blade, rear blade and York rake.Rear blade is mostly used for snow removal, the box blade for road maintenance(most versatile),York rake is nice for leveling. If I could have only one it would be the box blade.

box blade is good choice for moving dirt gravel etc. just make sure you get the right size for your tractor as one that is too big will stall tractor

For the tasks you have listed, and assuming you will be getting only one implement, the box blade is likely your best bet - will move the gravel and dirt and will handle small roots.

Box Blades are one of the most common Three Point Hitch implements used as COUNTERBALANCE to the FEL.

If you have an FEL + bucket calculate your counterbalance needs and order an appropriately heavy Box Blade. If your rear tractor tires are liquid filled, you will require somewhat less counterbalance than if your rear tires are filled only with air.

Do you have two tractors? A Cub Cadet AND an LS?

thanks for your replys looks like im leaning towards a box blade, my father inlaw loves his landscape rake. but a 5'
is to small for my tractor so we don't do much swaping attachments
