The soil here is mostly soft black topsoil, but when I tilled the entire front yard there were a few spots of clay. The BX-22 has enough power to get through it, but I was running at full throttle in the clay, and would not want to run a tiller any bigger than 48" for sure. Yes, the KK came with the slip clutch on the PTO. The lifting height is fine for moving around the yard, however when I pulled the tractor and tiller up onto my trailer to get her home, the tiller was scraping the pavement for about a foot because of the steep up-hill angle and I could not raise it any more. The tines just turned as they walked along the pavement so there was no harm done.
