I am looking at getting a new Kawasaki Mule 600.

What are others paying for these? and what is your location?

I seriously considered a Mule last year, but the dealer wanted essentially what was list price. He discounted it several hundred dollars and then added back dealer prep, delivery, etc. The out the door price (without tax) was abount $100 under MSRP as listed on the web site. The other dealer in Asheville wanted list price PLUS dealer fees, freight, etc

His reply was that Kawasaki has artificially low MSRP prices and the dealers stick to them. He said JD has very high MSRP so the dealers can offer 10% or more off list price. It doesn't matter which way you figure it, the prices for similar models end up being fairly close within $300. It boils down to whether you want a Japanese model with a bench seat or JD with bucket seats. They both had the same engine (Kawa) when I was doing my initial comparisons.

Two of my neighbors bought Mules from the same dealer and both paid approx list price. Don't expect much give on pricing. The price you on the website is what you will pay +/- $100

Don't know about back east but out here you are going to pay pretty close to list. They can sell em all. I just bought a 1310 Trans and the best I could do was $500 off. On Polaris they won't come down a dime off of list. The Mules are not fast but sure are built.

The Mule 600 is 4 wheel drive correct? If so then the CS/CX Gator is comparable in size, but it isn't 4 wheel drive. Really none of the Gators and Mules are alike.

The 600 is 2 wheel drive. The 4 wheel drive is a 610. I own a green 610 that I've enjoyed. It is tough and dependable but not fast.

I went to a couple local dealers today. This was the better of the two deals.

2007 Mule 610 $8999.00 list (Canadian)
Dealer price $8500.00 plus tax (approx 5.5 % discount)
No extra charge for freight or PDI
Three year warranty.

This dealer includes 2 extra years of warranty coverage on all Kawasaki products. I tried the machine out in his gravel parking lot and was very impressed. This is a lot of machine for the money. I want to check out a couple different machines tomorrow but I don't think I will get a better deal than this.

I bought the 3010 4X4 gas 3 years ago and paid $8100.00 here in Louisiana.I have been very pleased with it. I did some work on the throttle linkage and am getting 33mph on a gravel road and 36 mph on pavement. It is very reliable, but cold starts are aggrivating, I wish it was fuel injected, but once it warms up its fine. I have 225 or so hrs on mine with not a single problem.

I bought a 3010 Mule 4x4 in 2004 for $7800. Great machine with little maintenance and sips gasoline. Many dog trainers use them because they are tough and reliable.
