If you are still following this thread I concur with the suggestion of the 1610D. I had a 1300D and then got the 1610D and it really is night and day. You'll like the 4wd and the shuttle shift to begin with. The 1610D is also considerably more stable. I take mine up and down some pretty steep hills--straight up and down, mind you, and very, very carefully, but it does fine. Since you mention your woods, I've also run a Wallenstein 4" chipper on mine. It's a great chipper and it really chews the stuff up, unlike the Kemp Ihad before, which is a joke. One final thought--as I consider new things, like a small backhoe, I kind of wish I had an even bigger tractor. And so it goes.....
