What tractor?

I have around 200 acres that I will be eventually farming on. The problem is that most of it is grown up withtrees and brush. I was thinking about the TN75D with the 32LA MSL loader or the TL80 with the 52LA loader. Any suggestions would be helpful.

First you need to figure out what you will be farming and what implements you are going to want to run. Then you choose the tractor to run the implements you will need.

If you do plan on farming any amout I would get a TL 80, if you only want to farm less than 50 acres a TN 75 will work fine depending on soil. I am in the process of buying a 235 acre farm in which 150 acres are field that I plan to lease out but I will get a TL 80 for running the cutters on the land that is not leased. Old saying is true, you can never have too much HP but you can always have too little HP.

I would buy the biggest tractor, with the most Horsepower and features that you can reasonably afford, that will easily do the work. Don't buy less power than you need--- you can always throttle down but what do you do when you need more HP and torque???? Think seriously about a climate controlled cab. It may be expensive, but it will allow you to work in inclement weather. Have fun and be careful. Read the forum on safety!! Good luck! Sam
