Powercoat paint is pretty tough stuff ..... had to remove some from our loader bucket to weld on reinforcements for the top edge and the toothbar bolt holes. I tried using a wire brush (both knotted wheel and cup types) in 11,000 rpm grinder .... basically wouldn't touch it .... I finally ended up just using a grinding wheel .... and it still took quite a bit to get it off.
My take is that if you have an oxy-acetylene torch, heating it enough to break the bond would be the way to go. I don't think you would need to overheat the parts .... once you get it hot enough the paint will probably catch fire and burn ..... good job to do outside though ..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
