Hey Gang, I just got what is left of a B-7100 Kubota four wheel dr. tractor, been sitting for a long time, motor won't make a full revolution and lots of rust is trying to claim a once proud lady. I would like to know the age of it, and where to purchase an owner operator manual, also a repair mainual. if they are still out there somewhere. It was running when parked several years ago so I have my work cut out for me , I am thinking of a complete restore and would like to any input on that subject as far as the probability of if its worth it or not. can any one help? oh yes I need a starter also. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If your dealer can't get a manual for you try the internet. Do a search for "Kubota B7100 tractor"and you will get lots of hits.

Here is one place that sells repair manuals. $29.95 for the one you want. Motocom.com

Here is a site that advertises starters for a B7100 for $165. Gulf South Equipment

Here is another place that sells manuals. They have both the service manual (424 pages @ $168.95) and operators manual (48 pages @ $31.95). ssbtractor.com

Starters. Take it to a local who rebuilds them it's a lot cheaper and just as good most times.

I have a b6100, very similar to your tractor just u have the more powerful motor. I normally use tractorsmart.com for manuals and other parts. Or i atleast use it to see if the local place is ripping me off because it posts all the prices of every kubota part. I suggest taking a look there before making any perchases. Hope everything works out for you. You'll love you tractor when it does....and hate it without the powersteering. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have the same tractor (with HST) and don't find the steering bad at all. Do you have a blade or something on the front? Even with a Kubota 48" MMM the steering isn't bad, and that's with turf tires. Make sure you have enough air in your front tires, as low ones will make steering heavier.
With the snowblower on the back and no front ballast (yet), the thing steers with one finger. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Poor-man's power steering. Gotta throw some mass up front, though. It's not safe like this.
