Well I don't have a backhoe (sometimes I wish I did) but I did dig up a lot of interesting things with the FEL. I have dug up an old house that was burnt and buried in my riding arena over 10 years ago. I have also uncovered 3 full emu skeletons (full body) in my pens.

I had a rock at the top of my driveway that stuck out of the ground just enough to catch my snowplow blade (ATV) and flop it over. Drove me crazy. So, when I got a backhoe, the first thing I did was dig up that rock. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. I finally got it out, but it was quite the monumental dig. I could barely move it, much less pull it out of the hole. I ended up cracking it into pieces in the hole, then pulling the chunks out. It doesn't look all that big in the pic, but keep in mind that my tractor's rear tire track is almost 6 feet.

So how did you bust it up?

First, how did you break it? Second, once broken, couldn't you just turn it over and bury it safely?

Third, did you have a dig permit? :D http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/231994-what-you-need-know-about.html
