I was blessed to be brought up in a family with 10 children. When we watched "the Walton family" on TV, it reminded us of ourselves. Our parents struggled to get us gifts until we were able to finally convince them that it was unneeded and unwanted. We convinced them that Christmas ought to be the easiest thing in the world, not a stressful time at all.
So again this year, I got exactly what I needed and what I wanted: I got an opportunity to eat good food in a warm house with my friends and family. I got hugs, handshakes, smiles, and good conversation, and we even got in a few prayers. I also got a few days off from work to catch up on a few things, and relax a bit. I value these gifts most highly, and it is all I EVER wish for Christmas.
