Price Check what's a fair price for this flail mower?

I have not had a chance to see this mower in person yet, but here is what I know; the seller bought it at an auciton from a school district, and it has been sitting for what he calls several years. He says that other than the belt(s) its in good shape, but from the picture I think its due for a new set of blades. What should I be looking for/at when I go to look at it? He has no idea of the age, or history of the unit, and it includes nothing other than the pto shaft. So what would you pay for it?? I had a used one that I bought and rebuilt a year or so ago and they can get rather expensive to repair/rebuild quickly. I paid $400 for a heavier unit and it was in very good shape overall but I still put some good money in little things to get it to 100%.
Make sure your rollers are straight and true, check the ALL the bearing, and if the knives look like they need replaced price them before you get the mower. Don't forget you are buying a LOT of knives so the price goes up real quick.
I personally sold the mower as I just was not that impressed with a flair mower even with new blades and in GREAT shape. I could cut far heavier stuff, in less time and with less power draw with a brush hog. I know they are nice for lawns and such but if you want to cut fields I found a brush hog will do the job quicker and for less money.
Other love flails - just my opinion!
