do any old fords come with min or front pto , ive been told that a 3000 or5000 ford run forever . im looking to buy my first tractor ,[moving to mich] so I could use some help and ideas. thanks mike

probably better to start your own post than tagging onto another thread that is 3 years old.

not sure what you are looking for in the way of 'front pto' but there are setup to run front pumps off of the crankshaft. I have also seen smaller SCUT 'lawnmower sized' tractors that use a electric or similar clutch on the front for driving implements. I have seen kubota setup like that.

Also. for mid pto, i have seen some tractors setup with belly mowers with mid pto. usually in the smaller CUT sub 33 hp machine range.

For the oldies like the 65-75 thousand series, you won't see mid pto, but depending ont he model can have front pumps.

Tell us more about what you are trying to do. Your level of mechanical aptitude will help too. some of these models are getting long in the tooth... and some newer models have poor parts support.
