Jeff244: do you just slip the vac hose over the fill tube loosely, or do you tape it closed? Sounds like a good way to accomplish the above.

One of my attachments is long and pointed, it fits tightly into the filler hole. I screw it in a turn or 2 which makes it a very good fit. I do use duct tape where the attachment connects with the hose just to make sure it doesn't get disconnected and to cut down on air leakage.

Just replace the drain plug before the drain pan fills up. Put an empty pan back under and resume draining. I don't see the problem?

Trying to get that big plug back in can be a real pain. I have had the warm fluid run clear down my arm to my shoulder. Someone I think here, posted the axle drain plug idea, and I have used it with great success.
