Sounds like you've picked up an annoying trojan. You need something that takes care of spyware. I've been using Spysweeper for a couple of years and it does a good job. If you're getting the same ads on all those different sites, it's not them, it's your computer.

I think Mike is right, Ad-aware is a free download, and it works great. I have read that some of the ones you pay for, actually put spyware on your computer!!
I use Ad-aware, along with a Firefox browser, which is immune to a lot of the crap, because it is written for Internet Explorer.

I let Best Buy install Spysweeper when I recently bought this new computer. So, nope, I'm not getting the garbage you mentioned.

Thanks for the help, guys. I have Ad-Aware on this thing and had forgotten about it. Hadn't run it since last May.

Fired it up and it found a bunch of stuff which I let it remove. The bare bottom bombardment now appears to have stopped.

Oh, wait....INCOMING!!....SPLAT!
