Hi Joel,
I noticed on the signature portion of your post that your have a Z-Force 44. That's what I'm thinking about getting. Any thoughts good or bad or things for me to look for? Will try to get to a dealer next week and an see one in person (instead of just on the web).

I live in Illinois and am new to the group. Thanks in advance
Dan

Hello Dan. Yes, I replaced my 2544 with a Z-Force 44". I'm liking it so far. I'll send you a PM here so we don't drag this thread off topic too badly!

Remember, the 3000 series has been in production in some form since the mid 90's. That's 15 years without a major change. The fact that they may not be making them or combining them with the 2500 series actually makes sense to me. I would bet that something will be unveiled late this year or early next year for Cub's 50th anniversary. Just my 6 cents worth.

I've got the same thoughts on that Vince. The 3K's had a good run. A more optioned 2500 series sounds like a great thing.

eliminate the 3k, and bump up the others some to fill in some gaps. give the 2500 series optional power steering and lift. all the old ones ive ever seen were based on the same platform in different configurations with an lt half cousin. i also think the sc2400 should be available in 2wd with a 60 inch deck to fill out the people who want that. why would they lissen to me though, im only a marketing major.

WE've sold Cadets from 61 and when the cub 185's went out we sold the IH 234's and 235's to replace them.

We found that for the small amount increase and the possiblity of a loader with the four wheel drives that the resale price when used more then offset.

The four wheel drive option of about 1,000 was well worth the money do to the limited resale applications. The ability to have a loader on the tractor and be able be more versatile is a big argument over two wheel drive compact sales.

The initial thousand dollar savings made about a two thousand dollar reduction in value when used!!!!

With the zero turn mower market as strong as it is my feelings are that the sales potential would be so low for many areas that it would be a mistake to even try that market.

We also sell Kubota's and the two wheel drive B's are not a strong market and requests are far and few inbetween in our area!

i was just thinkin that people would want a 2400 over a 3k and a 2wd 2400 wouldnt be much more money or size difference than a 3k. also didnt know there was only 1000 price difference.
