Tools and a small first aid kit

1 big and med. adjustable,pliers,hammer,hitch,lots of different size attachment pins also nuts and blots,vice grips,roll black electric tape,extra pair work gloves.

Channel locks or similar, needle nose, multi screwdriver, hand pruner (if driving among trees/shrubs), small but heavy hammer (actually mine hangs on an old waist belt in front), nippers (big scissors that are good for cutting thin metal), multi adjust wrench (mind block on what it's called, better for nuts and bolts than channel locks, but actually need the two).

I must be the only one with a short barrelled rifle behind the seat. I've dispatched yotes and coons more than once out in the field. The motor don't seem to bother them at all. My 165 grain pills do however.

I carry a pistol, but it's not in the toolbox!

Should we expand the title to include what is carried on our belts (pistol, Leatherman, flashlight, knife) and elsewhere on the tractor? (Chains, chainsaw)

No need. I don'r carry a handgun (I could, I have a permit). I see no need for personal protection farming. I carry a short barrel 308 for varmits only. Bouncing around on rough fields, a pistola might accidently discharge and shoot me in the leg...or worse. Pretty rough ride sometimes.

Besides the usual tools I find my handiest item is a few feet of aluminum or copper heavy gauge (#8) wire.
In a pinch it has replaced pins, supported hoses and a variety of other other tasks.
I also have a spare of every pin and 3 point pivot as it seems there s always something that gets lost at the wrong time or place.

Don't forget the glasses! Maybe not in with the wrenches and hammers...
